Your review of the Blue Seal Inn Pismo Beach has certainly raised some questions for me. While your opinion, rated by 3 stars, is entitled to its own weight, I believe that a more thorough investigation should be conducted before dismissing this establishment as subpar. Firstly, it's worth considering the context of your review. You mentioned that you were expecting "a beachfront view" and that you were disappointed when this was not delivered. However, it's important to note that the Blue Seal Inn is located just a few blocks from the beach, which is hardly an inconvenience in my opinion. In fact, I would argue that being situated away from the hustle and bustle of the waterfront has its own set of benefits - guests can enjoy a quieter, more tranquil atmosphere while still having easy access to the beach when they choose to do so. Secondly, you mentioned that there were "a lot of flies" in your room. While this is certainly an unpleasant experience, I would like to know if any action was taken by the management to address this issue. If not, then it's clear that a higher level of cleanliness and hygiene is required in order to meet guests' expectations. However, if steps were taken to remedy the situation (such as increased pest control measures or a thorough cleaning of your room), then perhaps this should be weighed more heavily in your rating. Thirdly, you stated that "the shower head was broken" and that this detracted from your overall experience at the inn. While it's true that a malfunctioning showerhead can be frustrating, I would argue that this is a relatively minor issue in the grand scheme of things - after all, there are plenty of other amenities and features to enjoy during one's stay at the Blue Seal Inn.
