We also encountered a similar issue with the restaurant, which according to their website should have been open for dinner during our stay. Unfortunately, we were once again met with unexpected news upon arrival, as the sign on the door stated that it would be closed for the evening. We found this particularly frustrating given the fact that there weren't many dining options available in the surrounding area. As someone who values empathy and understanding, I can certainly appreciate that unforeseen circumstances may arise and sometimes facilities must be temporarily closed off. However, clear communication is crucial to ensure that guests like ourselves are not left feeling confused or disappointed as a result. Today's news regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has also undoubtedly impacted this establishment in ways that are beyond their control. Given the current circumstances, it would have been helpful if they had provided more information upfront about any potential closures or restrictions due to the virus. This could have helped us to better manage our expectations and avoid unnecessary disappointment. Despite these setbacks, I do want to acknowledge that the room itself was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff members we encountered during our stay were also friendly and helpful. It's just a shame that the closed amenities left us feeling somewhat disillusioned with what could have been a more enjoyable experience overall. In light of these issues, I would recommend that Mt Villa Motel takes some steps to improve their communication regarding facility closures and restrictions. Whether it be through email notifications or prominent signage on the premises, clearer communication would go a long way in mitigating any confusion or disappointment for future guests like myself.
