If you intend to stay in a given place for a long time, e.g. a month, two or a half years - then you may have a dilemma where to spend this time. Many people who come to Carlsbad have a choice of hotels, motels or short-term rentals. In the case of longer stays, it is also worth considering renting the entire apartment or house, because such a solution - despite a few inconveniences - will certainly be much cheaper than staying overnight, even in a cheap hotel.
On the other hand the hotel is nice for a short time but after a few weeks you're not going back to your normal life. I have a good relationship with my host but some people think it's not a good idea.
The reason why they're right are these things:
My host does not want me to share my room and this is pure simple - it was his room. That's not good. The only good thing about these hostels is the pool.
It's easy to get water at home but sometimes it's not enough or you have a problem with the pool or some of the employees. Hotel is really easy, no problems at all. If your host is nice he will let you stay with a friend (or not, as often as you want). I can tell that some guys go for the cheaper hotels or they are not able to come back.
They go to other hostels and it's very easy to get into trouble. The host can be kind in his comments but I just don't really need comments about people, I'm not even sure about the host.
So the conclusion is simple you need to cafefuly consider both option - will you pay more and have simple quiet stay guarraned or you choose host rental and have a risk on unplesant situations.

As I sit here reminiscing about our family road trips in the early '70s, it's hard not to feel a sense of longing for those simpler times when we would pull into Motel 6 at the end of another day on the open road. Back then, I remember the cleanliness and the warmth of the staff as being unmatched by any other motel chain.
Unfortunately, it seems that things have changed quite a bit since those days. Earlier this year, my brother and I found ourselves in need of a place to stay for an extended period while we were on a work assignment in Carlsbad, California. We decided to book our rooms at the Motel 6 located at 1006 Carlsbad Village Dr., Carlsbad, CA 92008, United States.
We had high hopes that we would find the same level of comfort and cleanliness that we remembered from our childhood stays at this iconic motel chain. However, we were sorely disappointed with what we found during our time there. The rooms were dirty, and the housekeeping seemed inadequate. We discovered stray hairs all over the place, and there was a layer of dust on every surface. It's hard to believe that this is the same Motel 6 that I once looked forward to staying at as a child.
I find myself wondering if it's just this particular location that has fallen by the wayside or if Motel 6 as a whole has lost its way in recent years. Either way, I can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia for what once was and lament the fact that we may never experience those simple joys of staying at a clean and cozy Motel 6 again.
Dear Miles Dean,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your recent stay at the Motel 6 located in Carlsbad, California. As a loyal customer of this iconic motel chain since my childhood days, I was disappointed to hear that your experience fell short of your expectations. However, I would like to offer a different perspective based on my own personal experiences staying at various Motel 6 locations across the United States in recent years. While it's true that some locations may not live up to our high standards, I have found that the majority of Motel 6 properties continue to provide clean and comfortable accommodations for travelers on a budget. In fact, I stayed at the Motel 6 located in Austin, Texas just last month and was thoroughly impressed with the level of cleanliness and hospitality provided by the staff. The room was immaculate and had all of the amenities that I needed for my stay. Additionally, I appreciated the competitive pricing and convenient location near many of the city's popular attractions. While it's understandable to feel a sense of longing for the nostalgia associated with Motel 6 from your childhood memories, I would encourage you to consider giving this beloved motel chain another chance. By doing so, you may discover that some locations still live up to the high standards of cleanliness and hospitality that you once remembered. In any case, I want to thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and hope that we can work together to ensure that all Motel 6 properties continue to provide our valued guests with the best possible accommodations at an affordable price.

As a frequent traveler and someone who has stayed at multiple motels across the country, I must say that my recent stay at Motel 6 located at 750 Raintree Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92011, United States was quite an eye-opening experience. I have always been a fan of their affordable prices and clean rooms; however, this visit left me feeling quite disappointed due to the slow room turnovers which caused significant delays between guests occupying rooms.
As I arrived at the motel, the check-in process was smooth and efficient, but it soon became evident that there were several other guests who had also checked out earlier in the day, yet their rooms remained unoccupied. I had to wait for quite some time before my room was available, which caused inconvenience as I was traveling with my family and children and needed a place to rest after a long day of driving.
The slow room turnovers continued throughout my stay, causing similar delays in the mornings when we were trying to check out and head towards our next destination. This lack of organization and efficiency on the part of the motel staff made me question whether I would want to stay at this particular Motel 6 location again in the future.
Moreover, while the room itself was clean and comfortable, it seemed that there had been a recent decline in maintenance and upkeep. The carpeting in the hallway outside my room was worn out, and there were stains on some of the furniture. I also noticed that the lobby area appeared cluttered and disorganized, with several items left unattended for an extended period.
I had always been a strong advocate for Motel 6 due to their budget-friendly rates and clean rooms; however, this experience has made me reconsider my loyalty to the brand. While I understand that there may be extenuating circumstances beyond the motel's control, it is crucial for establishments such as these to prioritize guest satisfaction and ensure that they are providing a seamless and enjoyable experience for their customers.
In conclusion, while my recent stay at Motel 6 located at 750 Raintree Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92011, United States had its fair share of pleasant moments, it was marred by the slow room turnovers and lack of organization. As a loyal customer, I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and strives to improve their service in order to maintain their reputation as a reliable and affordable option for budget-conscious travelers like myself.
After staying at Motel 6 located at 750 Raintree Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92011, United States, I must say that my experience was quite different from Ruby's. While I understand her concerns regarding slow room turnovers and lack of organization, I did not face any significant issues during my stay.
Firstly, the check-in process was smooth and efficient, just like Ruby mentioned. The staff were friendly and helpful, answering any questions I had about the motel and its surroundings. Moreover, the room was clean and comfortable, with fresh bedding and towels provided. There were no stains on the furniture or worn-out carpeting in the hallway outside my room.
I also noticed that the lobby area was well-maintained and organized, with all items being put away when not in use. The motel staff seemed to be diligent in ensuring that guests' needs were met promptly. During my stay, I observed that room turnovers were done efficiently, allowing me to check in without any delays.
Although I understand that every traveler has different expectations and experiences, I believe that Motel 6 still deserves credit for providing an overall enjoyable experience at an affordable price. While Ruby's concerns may have been valid for her specific visit, they do not necessarily reflect the standard of service provided by this establishment.
In conclusion, my stay at Motel 6 located at 750 Raintree Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92011, United States was pleasant and comfortable. I did not face any issues with room turnovers or lack of organization during my stay. As a budget-conscious traveler, I would recommend this motel to others who are looking for an affordable option without sacrificing cleanliness and comfort.

I remember the day like it was yesterday when my family and I ventured out to Ocean City for our annual summer vacation. We had heard so much about Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge, located at 3180 Arya Connector in Carlsbad, CA, and couldn't wait to experience its stunning beach views and top-notch amenities firsthand.
Our journey began at the iconic Ocean Pier, a famous point of interest in Ocean City that is well known for its beautiful sunsets and thrilling amusement park rides. We started our trip from there, excitedly making our way down to Arya Connector (which we later discovered is now known as Carlsbad Blvd), with the sound of ocean waves crashing against the shore guiding us along.
As we made our way down the coastline, we passed through quaint coastal towns filled with charming shops and delightful restaurants. The air was fresh and salty, invigorating our senses and filling us with a sense of adventure. We couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to explore this beautiful region together as a family.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity (but was actually just a few hours), we arrived at our final destination: Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge. As soon as we pulled up to the hotel, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who promptly checked us in and showed us to our room.
The first thing that struck me upon entering our spacious suite was the breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. The expansive windows allowed natural light to flood the room, while also providing unparalleled access to the stunning ocean scape outside. We couldn't believe how lucky we were to be staying in such a picturesque location!
During our stay at Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge, my family and I took full advantage of all the fantastic amenities offered on-site. From lounging by the outdoor pool to enjoying delicious meals at the hotel restaurant, every moment spent at this beautiful property was truly unforgettable.
One particular highlight of our trip was exploring nearby attractions such as Legoland California and Seaport Village. Both destinations provided endless entertainment for kids and adults alike, making them must-visit spots during any vacation to Ocean City.
As the days turned into nights, we would often gather around the firepit located on the hotel's private beach, sipping cocktails and exchanging stories with fellow guests. These intimate moments allowed us to connect with others while also appreciating the beauty of our surroundings.
In conclusion, my family and I could not have been happier with our experience at Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge in Ocean City. From its stunning ocean views to its top-notch amenities and welcoming staff, this hotel truly exceeded all expectations. If you're planning a trip to the coast anytime soon, do yourself a favor and book a stay at this incredible property – I guarantee you won't regret it!

I recently had a business trip to Oceanfront in California and stayed at Rodeway Inn located at 1103 North Coast Highway. The motel is just a short drive from popular attractions like the Oceanside Pier and Harbor, making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers. My room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. Although it's not a luxury hotel, it offers good value for money, especially considering its prime location near the beach and downtown area. The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing me with helpful tips on nearby restaurants and activities. Overall, Rodeway Inn exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay there again when visiting Oceanfront.

As someone who's been fortunate enough to travel around the country for work, I can safely say that I've stayed in my fair share of motels. Some have been delightful, while others have left me questioning my life choices. However, my recent stay at Extended Stay America - San Diego - Oceanside has been nothing short of amazing!
First off, let's talk about the staff. They're a sight to behold - friendly, welcoming, and always wearing matching uniforms that make them look like a team of superheroes out to save the day (or at least your day). I've seen them all over the place, from the front desk to the lobby to the pool area, and they're consistently going above and beyond to ensure their guests have a pleasant experience. One staff member in particular caught my eye - a charming fellow who went by the name "Pool Guy. I didn't know what his actual job title was, but I assumed it had something to do with keeping the pool clean (and hopefully preventing any unsuspecting swimmers from encountering any unidentified objects lurking beneath the surface). But as it turned out, "Pool Guy" was a jack-of-all-trades who could fix just about anything - from a leaky faucet to a malfunctioning coffee maker. He even offered to give me a tour of the area and point out some hidden gems that only the locals know about!
And speaking of hidden gems, let's talk about this place itself. Located on a charming little street called Ocean Boulevard (okay, maybe it's not so charming, but it's definitely memorable), Extended Stay America - San Diego - Oceanside boasts a prime location that's perfect for travelers who want to be close to all the action. Whether you're in town for business or pleasure (or both!), there's something for everyone here. One of my favorite features of this motel is the kitchenette in each room - it's like having your own mini-apartment, complete with a fridge, stove, and dishwasher! I was able to save some money by cooking my meals instead of going out to eat every night. Plus, the complimentary breakfast buffet that's served daily is pretty impressive too - there's something for everyone, from eggs and bacon to waffles and pastries. And let's not forget about the coffee bar, which is stocked with all sorts of goodies (including a variety of flavored syrups that are perfect for spicing up your morning cup of joe). But it's not just about the amenities here - it's also about the ambiance. The decor is modern and stylish, without being too flashy or overwhelming. It feels cozy yet spacious at the same time, like a warm embrace that wraps you up in its comforting arms. And the lighting is just right - not too bright, not too dim, but just enough to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. In terms of safety and security, Extended Stay America - San Diego - Oceanside has got it covered. The property is well-lit at night, with plenty of cameras around to keep an eye on things. And the staff members are always on the lookout for any potential issues or concerns. I felt completely safe here, which was a huge relief since I've stayed in some sketchy places in the past!
Last but not least, let's talk about the location itself - Oceanside is definitely worth checking out. It's got a charming old-town feel that's reminiscent of small-town America, with plenty of quaint shops and cafes to explore. And if you're into surfing or beachcombing, then you'll be in luck - the coastline here is absolutely stunning!
Overall, my stay at Extended Stay America - San Diego - Oceanside was nothing short of fantastic. From the friendly staff to the cozy rooms and prime location, there's something to love about this place.

As a dedicated baggage handler at Motel 6, I have witnessed firsthand the ups and downs of this establishment. My recent stay in January left me feeling disheartened and melancholic, as the cleanliness standards that are supposed to be upheld fell woefully short. The disappointment was palpable, especially considering the fact that Motel 6 is renowned for its budget-friendly accommodations. Upon entering my room, I noticed a distinct odor that seemed to permeate the entire space. It was as if the air conditioning unit had not been cleaned in months, and the musty scent wafted around me like a thick fog. The first thing I did was flick on the lights, but they were dim and cast an eerie glow across the room. I couldn't help but feel that I was sleeping in a crypt instead of a motel. The bedspreads were a matted mess, with stray hairs clinging to the threads like unwelcome guests. It was as if someone had forgotten to change them since my previous stay, which was months ago. The pillows were similarly unkempt, with dust and grime coating their surfaces like an unwanted layer of protection. I couldn't help but feel that I was sleeping on a pillowcase that had seen better days. The bathroom was no better. The toilet seat was stained a sickly yellow, as if it had been neglected for weeks on end. The sink faucet dripped relentlessly, leaving a puddle of water on the countertop that seemed to multiply with each passing moment. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of bacteria was lurking in these depths, waiting to infect me as soon as I brushed my teeth. It was clear that housekeeping had not been a priority at Motel 6. The floors were sticky and covered in grime, with bits of debris scattered haphazardly across the carpet like confetti. It was as if a small army of children had run amok through my room, leaving behind a trail of destruction and chaos in their wake. I couldn't help but feel that I was sleeping in a warzone instead of a motel. The former Brazil international, Ricardo Oliveira, recently made headlines for his involvement in a gang rape that took place back in 2013. The news left me feeling saddened and disillusioned, as it seemed to reflect the lackadaisical attitude towards morality and decency that pervades our society today. It was yet another reminder that evil can lurk in even the most unexpected of places, leaving us all vulnerable and exposed to its insidious grasp. As I lay down on my bed, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia for simpler times. The memories of happier stays at Motel 6 flooded my mind, as if trying to chase away the darkness that had engulfed me in this moment. But the reality was stark and unrelenting, leaving me feeling disheartened and resigned to my fate. In conclusion, my stay at Motel 6 was nothing short of a disappointment. The cleanliness standards were abysmal, with dirt and grime covering every surface like a thick blanket. It was as if the establishment had given up on its commitment to hygiene and housekeeping, leaving its guests to fend for themselves in this sea of filth. But amidst all this despair, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia for better times. The memories of happier stays at Motel 6 lingered in my mind like a beacon of hope, reminding me that even in the darkest of moments, there is always a glimmer of light waiting to be found. As I drifted off to sleep, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for me and for Motel 6. Would it continue down this path of depravity and decay, or would it finally wake up from its slumber and embrace a newfound commitment to cleanliness and hygiene? Only time will tell, but one thing was clear - I wouldn't be staying here again anytime soon.
